Sea Glass

For those of you who are not familiar with sea glass, also known as beach glass, it is literally glass that found its way into the sea. The waves of the ocean churn and mix with sand, pounding the glass smooth, giving it a very distinct look.

Maine sea glass is collected as a treasure by tourist visiting our area, just as you would find beach goers collecting seashells. Sea glass is collected for making crafts and jewelry as well.

We often stroll along the Beaches of Mt. Desert Island, Ba r Harbor, Maine to find a piece or pieces of sea glass ( also known to some as beach glass ) to be placed or displayed in each of our Candles.

We enjoy combing the beaches to find a piece ( s ) of sea glass for each of our candles . Burn your candle , relax and enjoy …. Eventually you will find the hidden treasure! A "piece of our island" souvenir .
