Candle Care

A candle that has a great amount of fragrance and/or color added to the wax can cause the wick to "mushroom" resulting in smoke emitting from the wick. (The wick can clog.)

It always helps your candle to perform at it's best if burned no more than 2 hours at a time and trim the wick to 1/4 inch before the next use.

Sunlight as well as immitation light (bright indoor lights) can fade the candle color. If fading occurs, the candle will still perform normally however, it is good practice to store your candles in a cool, dark and dry place.

Soy wax can be removed from "spent" candle containers with hot soapy water. You may try placing the candle container in the freezer for an hour or so allowing the wax to shrink and easily pop out when the candleholder is removed from the freezer.

Avoid burning candles in any glass container not specifically designed for candles. Glass candle containers are specifically manufactured to withstand the temperature changes that occur when burning a candle. Everyday glassware is not designed for burning candles.

Keep burning candles away from curtains and other flammable objects.

Keep burning candles on a heat resistant surface.
